What’s New?

Belmont Residences East is an exciting evolution of earlier Belmont Residence West homes with new design elements, including:
• Nordic-inspired interiors showcasing clean lines with light muted colours complemented by warm wood tones and textures creating contrast with the trendy black stainless steel appliances creating a harmonious, balanced effect.
• Technologically enhanced materials. Premium materials that are more durable and resilient.
• New layouts, like the one-bedroom + flex unit, brings homeownership within the realm of possibility for more people. 40% of the homes are under $399,900. Unit sizes range from 648 to 1,191 sq. ft.

This latest phase in the #MyBelmont vision “Opens More Doors to Home Ownership” according to Director of Development, Marcela Corzo.

It could have been so different! I’m sure you’ve seen it happen in other cities: a large piece of development land opens up and developers move in to build as many apartment buildings as they can squeeze onto the acreage. Belmont Residences took another path with the 24 acres that originally housed Belmont Secondary School and its grounds in central Langford. When you look at their Master Plan Community, you can see responsible minds behind the project, with designs and innovations that were intended to enhance—not diminish—the quality of life for residents and the community at large.

Belmont Residences is located in the heart of Langford. It’s location that creates a sustained sense of value in a development. Whether properties are built in infill locations or with mountain view settings, ultimately, it’s being at the city core that guarantees the long-lasting value of a home.

The Belmont Market project, under development on the site of the former Belmont Secondary School, is expected to be completed by 2021. To date, the following stores have confirmed their spaces and will be opening for business in three phases over the next 2 years, beginning in 2019

Belmont Market Shopping Centre is comprised of 160,000 square feet of commercial space with a Thrifty Foods grocery store as the anchor tenant. It will also include rental apartments and condominiums. Phase I of construction is underway, with some tenants scheduled to open late 2018. 100,000 square feet of the overall development has committed leases or is in advanced stages of negotiation, and 96% of phase I is currently leased.

The much-anticipated Belmont Residences West broke ground on September 6, adding 80 new homes to the urban-meets-suburban lifestyle community in Langford. Roughly 30 home-owners took part in the celebration that starts the construction on their future homes.

“We’re very excited to be breaking ground on phase two,” said Eric Gerlach, vice president of development for Belmont Residences. “The community has been incredibly supportive of the development, so we look forward to creating even more new home opportunities for the West Shore’s growing population.”

With many new multi-family developments hitting the marketplace, it’s common for developers and designers to attempt to out-scale and out-design the competition by using wow factors in their application. However, when it came time to design the interiors of the Belmont Residences’ new master-planned community in Langford, the developers saw it as an opportunity to create a direct reflection of the property’s exterior—less about outrageous design and more about crafting spaces with livable, durable, and natural materials to support the outdoor lifestyle of future residents.
