It’s truly amazing that almost every night of the week at Darcy’s Pub (WestShore), you can experience a host of talented, local groups and individuals ready and willing to perform for you. The ‘XX Acoustic Show’, held on Thursday, June 28, was exceptional in that it was dedicated to showcasing local female singer-song writers. The audience enjoyed an intimate, live acoustic experience with performances by Jillian Goddard, Jessica Laura Dziadyk, Hannah Gentes, Rebecca Barritt, Morgan Buxton, Jenny West Cooney, Amelia Brownridge and Musa Heinen. Here’s more about a few of these aspiring, talented women.

Darcy’s Pub Westshore is the place to be if you love LIVE music—or if you are someone who loves to perform! On the first Wednesday of every month, Darcy’s features its popular ‘Open Mic Night’, an eclectic evening of live acoustic music beginning at 7pm. Singer/songwriters from every genre perform 20-minute sets of covers and original pieces.
Darcy’s Pub held their first Open Mic Night in April, 2016 and ever since has had no shortage of awesome local musicians to grace their stage. Audiences can expect to hear everything from acoustic originals to rap, reggae, marimba and even spoken word. And what a fantastic way for artists at every level to experience a professional stage setting with an incredibly, receptive crowd!

June 1st marks the end of an era at Darcy’s Pub. Our longest running house band, Monkeywrench, will be playing their last show with us! As Monkeywrench continues on to other endeavours, we will be showcasing a variety of other awesome local bands, every Friday. We have Lost Boys, Southern Urge, Cities, and The Tumblin’ Dice joining us on Fridays throughout June. And of course, our Saturday house band, BiPolar Bear, will still be playing every week.

We also have a special Sunday evening show this month, ‘Remembering Jason’. This will be an evening of rock and blues music dedicated to the memory of the late, great Jason Buie. The Jason Buie Band & Friends will play from 6-11pm. It will be an evening you don’t want to miss.
