#1 – Discover what you enjoy.
The main reason people fall off their routines is because they simply don’t enjoy it. Explore beyond what you would consider normal exercise. Find activities that you want to do, not have to do. It can be exciting experimenting with new challenges. You might be surprised by what you find yourself enjoying.

#2 – Take it outside.
It doesn’t have to feel like ‘exercise’ to receive the benefits. Take it to the tennis courts, trails or even the water. Think of each workout as a privilege; activities your body allows you to do, goals your body lets you reach, and places that you wouldn’t normally see or experience.

#3 – Don’t stress the exercise – let it be your stress escape.
One of the main reasons people skip workouts is because they are stressed. In fact, regular exercise is proven to reduce stress. The end of a stressful day would be best resolved by engaging in physical activity you enjoy.

Falling in love with exercise takes a shift in your mindset outside your comfort zone. Exploring your options is an exciting process, leading to positive physical adaptions you would not receive by doing the same routine. Soon enough you will stop looking at the clock to see when your workout is over; you will catch yourself waiting for your next workout to begin.
