Westshore Basketball

Westshore Basketball is proud to begin our 13th year of operation; 7th under our current configuration. We pride ourselves on teaching the game of basketball to youth of all ages and abilities. Our proven model of development has contributed to the continued success of Western Communities High School teams with the Belmont Junior and Senior Boys teams finishing 4th at BC Provincials in 2018. Both boys teams had many players who have learned the game through Westshore Basketball. Members of our girls program routinely finish top 3 in Victoria in middle school play and continue this success on high school teams.

Night League teams are created for Girls and Boys in the U11, U13 and U15 levels. Teams are leveled within Westshore Basketball to create teams for players to learn skills and foster enjoyment. Teams are leveled within the League to create competitive games and balance. Practices are in the Western Communities and games are in the Greater Victoria area. All players are welcome, regardless of experience.

Westshore Rain Basketball in its 7th year. Our program is a games-based, weekly event for youth in grades K-4 to learn skills, meet new friends and have fun. Equipment is developmentally appropriate using smaller, lighter basketballs and using the adjustable hoops of John Stubbs School. Our 9-week sessions have Tuesday or Thursday options. LTP 1 is geared toward our grade K-2 kids and LTP 2 is focused on our grade 2-4 athletes.
